Symbolism and Numerology of the New Year 2022

Numbers in Numerology represent 10 aspects or dimensions of the human experience. Numbers also trigger logical thinking, symbolic thinking and subconscious activity. Numbers are agents that affect us. It is not the same to be the 1st, the 2nd or the 3rd. We are subjects and inheritors of a numerical civilisation. When it is about a year we all share the same one. We share the year and the hidden symbols it represents. And this is not esoterism - we always use numbers as references. Age, century, decade, year, month, day and hour. We follow a consequential time structure. Numbers are there all the time and they have numerological meanings.
On a personal level we learn a lot about ourselves when we study the Numerology of our date of birth. Those numbers contain relevant messages to embrace life with more consciousness. On a collective level, it is good to know the Numerology of the year to identify possibilities and shed some light on the trends.
2022: Too many twos?

For the sake of having a clear understanding we must first pay attention to number 2, especially in the year 2022.
From Pythagoras and even earlier, philosophers have thought of the base of all nature, arriving to the conclusion that everything has a binary structure. And so are the forces that move the world through:
Attraction, expressed in dialogue, reconciliation, cooperation, merger, encounter and why not Tantrism or,
Repulsion expressed in separation, schism, division, binary thinking, polarity, polarisation and confrontation.
Among the symbols that show number 2, perhaps the Taoist Yin and Yang is the most familiar to people. The image is itself provocative. It provokes the mind. It makes one think. The Yin and Yang is a “capture” of the dynamic process of existence, like a screenshot of something that with bare eyes would look like a simple circle, without a beginning and without an end. The Yin and Yang is indeed a momentary static impression of what is permanently moving. It is a dance of attraction and repulsion happening simultaneously.
Two to Tango
Therefore 2 is a reality in motion. When we see 2 people in a relationship, we will see movement. When the dynamic gets stuck and it doesn’t move, then the relationship starts to fail… When two active principles are interacting there’s life and meaning. Heaven and Earth, day and night, inside and outside, above and below. We become more real and complete when we hold the space for polarity and paradoxes while remaining rooted and centred in one (i.e, the first chakra, one’s soul, the Ek Ong Kar, etc). Modern philosophy expresses similarly: thesis meets antithesis and the influx continues in diverse ways (synthesis). This might sound like a simplified Hegelian dialectic but it is just another way to understand life as a dynamic tension of dual forces. Out of a combination of 2 principles, all life and movement emerges.
And everything is a continuum, as we have seen. In the last 2 years we have witnessed an increase of polarisation in our world and local communities. And 2022 might just be noticeably more polarised than 2021. From the point of view of Numerology, we can observe the tendency towards increased binary thinking in relationships, politics, social debate about the Covid-19, climate change and so on. In my view, 2022 might come up as more polarised but eventually equally open to dialogue, reconciliation and cooperation. Let’s be ready.
The Year of the Arcline, Halo or the Arc of Light

As the tendencies and struggles from polarisation continue in 2022, your Arcline is going to become the central aspect of your human experience.
In a nutshell, we know the number six (2+0+2+2=6) to represent an energetic part of the human head. The part that is the protection and projection of the psyche, normally depicted as a halo around the head of Saints and Buddhas. Needless to say that one does not have to be a Buddha or a master to have an Arcline. We can develop this psycho-magnetic shield from childhood. It is for our basic mental health and for the protection of the head centres, such as the 6th Chakra, the Ajna.
In my estimation, in 2022 the human Arcline will be widely affected by the ongoing exacerbation of polarities. This means that your God given halo or Arc of Light around your head, will be a determining factor to keep your mental stability. It is highly likely that the overall mental stability will be an important health public concern in 2022. People who use too much or abuse their mental circuitry, might experience serious challenges. I am thinking of any kind of mental stimulation, especially the artificial ones triggered by lockdowns and quarantines. After 2 years of pandemic and restrictions, loads of information and misinformation have lurked through all media into our heads. This explains massive attempts of manipulation of consciousness as well as the intensification of division and polarisation. In my opinion we are witnessing that our civilisation is reaching a breaking point that divides our past and our present/future. We are somewhat divided from our past. These challenges simultaneously give us the opportunity to seek encounter, dialogue and psychic healing.
Mental health
Six faces of the cube. The ways you can look at things: from above or below, from on side or the other, from the front or the back. Likewise is the principle in the Six Schools (Darśana or ‘views’) of Indian Philosophy. The Tantric and yogic centre of awareness, the Sixth Chakra or Ajna, delivers a comprehensive view that includes all perspectives.
The energetic otherness, of people and of things, affects the magnetic stability of our minds. What we have experienced, is that the regular practice of meditation, with and without mantra, and daily moments of prayer give the mind an anchor.
We are subject not only to gross elements from visible nature, but also to the invisible, energetic and more subtle psychic forces. Our Arcline suffers with the variations of the flares of the Sun, electromagnetic pollution, or psycho-social shocks . Clinical perspectives often show different symptoms associated with mental illness and instability. Some of these symptoms are caused by the weakness of the Arcline. Therefore a strong Arcline will prevent some of the following symptoms associated or caused by the weakness of the human halo:
Feeling sad or down
Confused thinking or reduced ability to concentrate
Excessive fears or worries, or extreme feelings of guilt
Extreme mood changes
Withdrawal from friends and activities
Acute tiredness and low energy
Detachment from reality (fantasies), hallucinations or paranoia
Inability to cope with daily problems or stress
Challenge in understanding situations and people
Problems with alcohol, drugs or other addictions
Negative, self-destructive or suicidal thoughts
Spiritual disconnection

In the year 2022 our Arcline will be tested. We might encounter different situations that will probably make us recall the innate power of prayer, as a way to restore peace and find guidance in life. From the point of view of the year, 2022 will probably give us new situations that cannot be solved or even comprehended without a meditative process and some prayer involved…
The truth is that we have always encouraged our students to stay focused. Not only as a frequent practice in Kundalini Yoga, but also as a basic philosophy for life. The focus we gain in meditation and prayer is the force for developing, gaining or maintaining the Arcline strong. This way we can articulate our own thoughts and make a good use of our minds.
Meditation and prayer are indeed the Yin and Yang of any spiritual practice. Both of them strengthen the one-pointedness and the interaction of the mind with life, light and energy. Meditation is the Yin aspect, the receptive aspect in the connection to a higher truth. Meditation allows us to hear and see the truth. Prayer, on the other hand, is the active and projective aspect, the Yang, that allows us to share our truth. Through prayer, the Universe that can hear and see us.
Time of Persuasion!

The psychic interaction of the Arcline of people invites us to think of the interlocking of mental energies. This an aspect of persuasion, consisting of the effective interaction of minds that takes place between Arclines. This can be felt when you are present, attentive and mentally relaxed and open. Or when you are sharp, confident, vibrant and eloquent.
As it is with meditation and prayer, there is a Yin and a Yang aspect to persuasion as well. The one who persuades and the one who is persuaded... Here, the Arc of Light that is stronger, the Yang, “persuades” the weaker arc, the Yin. This, of course, has tremendous ethical implications for yogis of all times. On the basis of this exchange, knowledge, truth and wisdom can be transmitted. Some leaders, therapists, teachers, parents and healers consciously operate at this level too. But the ways it can actually happen, in Tantric terms, are threefold:

White persuasion, when the psycho-magnetic influence is non-attached and it serves the best interest of others
Red persuasion, when the psycho-magnetic influence is used to seek material or sensory gain
Black persuasion, when the psycho-magnetism is corrupted and aims at manipulation and destruction of others
It goes without saying that the best use of our Arcline is when we are caring and committed to help fellow humans. This type of commitment makes us really kind to each other. And it is the root that grows the projective healing power of the Arcline.
On the other hand, the worst way to use the ability of the Arcline is in mental manipulation. There is nothing more delusional and astray. Indeed, the darkest personification of an evil manipulative being is marked with the 666 according to the Christian Bible. This indicates that 6, as the year to come, symbolises the possibility for really dark forces that are ready to manipulate the thinking process of vast population, including you. Beware, your Arcline is your protection.
Guru Hargobind, the 6th of the masters of the Sikh linage of Gurus. He represents persuasion, leadership and holiness in how he dealt with others. On his command, the spiritual and material integrity was protected from external threads. His projection, focus and sharpness granted him over 300 victories and no defeat against the Muslim invaders. Numerology owes the 6th Guru the understanding of the qualities of the Arcline he well embodied.
Check your Numbers!
Numerology gives us a chance to understand the patterns that are personal, collective and transpersonal. It helps us easily access the deep symbolism of mankind. When you look at your own Numerology, you can find out why you act the way you do. Calculate it here and see if you or anyone you know has a 6 in their Numerology. Or simply calculate your numbers as I will explain below. In any case, if you do not have a 6 it means that the significance of your Arcline is less compared to other aspects. By no means this means that you do not have an Arcline or that you should not take care of it.
There are 5 areas or aspects to consider in Numerology. These areas are symbolically defined by the numbers. These 5 key aspects of your current life plan are: Your Soul, Karma, Gift, Destiny and Path/Life numbers. Each of these key aspects will have a number that is extracted from your date of birth. And yes, you only need to know your date of birth!
Soul number: Calculated by summing the numbers of the day you were born: for example on the 6th, 15th or 24rd (=6) of any month. 6 here is an introverted personality type or at least tends to have an active mental experience - not only thoughts, but also impressions, visions and intuitions. It searches deep understanding and mental peace. It is both a source of mental stillness and control, as well as a source for confusion and the feeling of being mentally out of focus and clarity. This year triggers the mental experiences and impressions that have conditioned you. This year you have the opportunity to level-up in self-understanding and deeper inner connection. In other words, this year will challenge you to stay balanced - neither stuck with people’s mind games nor isolated and indifferent to them. Anything that brings you to your Buddhi mind, your calmed, transparent, one-pointed mind will make you freer. This year is for you to awaken your Buddhi mind and pay off your Arcline-related karmas and reduce chances to create new karmic cycles with it.
Gift number: Calculated by summing the 2 last digits of the year of birth: 2015, 2006, 1996, 1987, 1978, 1969, etc. (=6) This year is good for displaying your gift! You have a great grip of what goes on at the mental space - yours and others’. Make your thoughts, speech and actions elevate the mental field of this planet. In other words, let the psycho-magnetic forces of this universe come through your solid divine Arcline. Use your thoughts and words to transmit the goodness and perfection of the divine plan. Tune yourself to it. Use your charisma for the betterment of this world, share your insight and empower people to believe in themselves as you believe in yourself when you consciously connect to the Universe through your Arcline.
Destiny number: Calculated by summing the year of birth: for example 2022, 2013, 2004, 1995, 1986, 1977, 1968, etc. (=6). You have come to a crossroads of a great significance. You are moving into another chapter of your destiny. Specifically the one that concerns your security about your mental space and the autonomy of your mental process. You are born to be free. You are in charge and you have always been in charge, this year will help you to understand this less egotistically and more as a part of the mystery of consciousness. When your Arcline reaches a point of maturation it starts to function in marvellous ways. You see more, you have clearer intuitions, more mental silence and eventually freedom to think outside the box! But it is your destiny to discover this yourself and to embrace this 2022 as a beautiful opportunity to meet a deeper layer of your destiny.
Path/Life Number: This is calculated by the full sum of the date of birth (day, month and year). This aspect of life is only available for those who understand their life as a path. It requires a minimum awareness. A journey from point A to point B is a path. A process with an intention and a transcendental direction is a spiritual path. What does it mean for those with a 6 here? It is a life experience where inner and outer psyche are integrated. This is a path of protection and projections of higher values of integrity, freedom and justice into personal and social life. This year asks from you to move with fearlessness and with faith. Let yourself be guided by the cosmic psycho-magnetic forces and the intuition of your soul. In some ways you have always been fearless to be in that place between the known and the unknown. This year you shall gain further wisdom about your life plan on the Earth.

Psycho-magnetic otherness makes us react and that is something that we need to accept. It helps us to grow, to adapt and to train our focus. Without the encounter of our Arclines, we cannot truly meet and evolve with other humans. I see the Arcline as an achievement of the evolution of human awareness.
Yogis discovered this through systematic introversion, realising that humanity is endowed with unique abilities to communicate. Clairvoyance, mind reading, deep psychological healing and spiritual transmission depend on the capacity and connection of our Arclines.
We emit mental energy that deflects mental toxicity and obscurity. Our halos are Arcs of Light that can shield us from dark thoughts and, at the same time, expand our minds to fulfil our soul purpose. This is the energy that our heads emit when we are in deep states of meditation or prayer. If this energy is not strong and consistent, we can get caught in the thoughts of others, as if we could feel what they think about us. We might even embrace their thoughts as ours. This can be deeply confusing to our unique life plan. It makes us mentally vulnerable and exposed to others’ mental games and issues.
With a weak mind that has a weak Arcline, we can lose everything we value. Every person must have the protective shield to preserve their mental integrity. We can also weaken the width and length of emission of the psycho-magnetism. How? By our own bad habits, contradictions or duality. And this is what the Arcline teaches us: stay mentally fit and live with integrity. The coherence of your thoughts, words and actions protect the structure of your Arcline.
Just remember, in the larger context of your life plan, the ego has very limited skills to effectively support you on your path. When you assess situations and people with the tools of the ego, you narrow things down to a limited number of capacities and variables. You can try pushing yourself and others, but if your Arcline is not vibrant and charged, no one will pay attention and things will not come to you. The non-self or ego has a limited perspective of our lives, even if it is intellectually trained or sophisticated. The ego is to play a functional worldly role, not to takeover the protagonist role from you, from the Soul. Your halo, in turn, is a magnet for the journey of spiritual awareness. It works as the most refined antenna, the one in charge of finding the shortest route to the light.
