Somatic Trauma Therapy is a body-centered approach to healing the effects of trauma by gently rewiring the nervous system. Rather than focusing solely on thoughts or memories, it works with the physical sensations, movements, and patterns held in the nervous system. Trauma can leave the body in a state of ongoing stress or shutdown, and somatic therapy gently supports regulation, safety, and connection from the inside out. By tuning into the body’s wisdom and responses, this approach allows for the release and integration of unresolved experiences in a way that is grounded, compassionate, and deeply restorative.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is hailed as one of the most efficient systems of trauma therapy. It is a respectful and non-pathologizing approach to understanding ourselves. It’s based on the idea that we all have different “parts” within us—such as inner critics, protectors, or exiled younger selves—that carry specific roles, emotions, and beliefs. IFS helps us get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion, rather than judgment or resistance. As we build a relationship with them, we can access our core Self—an inner presence that is calm, clear, and wise—and from this place, create deep healing of trauma and inner hurts.
Sat Darshan focuses on supporting sensitive women to heal their trauma, master their emotions and balance their feminine and masculine, so they can live a confident and loving life & relationships. She has a gift in creating safe space where people can open up, and the capacity to deeply tune into each person, see into the root of things and intuitively find practices and viewpoints that help the person forward. She has over two decades of experience dealing with limiting emotions and beliefs and how to shift them and heal them. As a yoga and meditation teacher she is used to facilitating deep transformations in her groups and her formal trauma therapy training has provided her another lens and deep knowledge in how to deal with the living legacy of trauma that is carried
