Trainers
Jivan Mukta earned his doctorate in the Study of Religions from the University of Helsinki and is a recognized expert in Kundalini Yoga, meditation, breathwork, and Meditative Healing. An international teacher, astrologer, and teacher trainer since 2007, he has guided and certified hundreds of yoga teachers worldwide, fostering a thriving global yoga community. Jivan Mukta is the creator of the Meditative Healing Program, which he delivers internationally, blending meditative states, meditation, energy awareness, and profound body-mind wisdom. He has also released the mantra album My Mind Is Thine, a testament to his deep connection to the transformative power of sound. As the director of the Yoga Lafontaine school, Jivan Mukta continues to lead with vision and dedication, bridging powerful practices with modern understanding to offer practical tools for self-discovery, empowerment, and transformation. With over two decades of international experience, his teachings resonate with depth, clarity, and authenticity. He is a leading teacher in the Kundalini Yoga programs of the Kundalini Yoga Association of Ukraine and a the Ukrainian community..
Sat Darshan. born with a great sensitvity to music into a musical family, immersed herself in music and dance from a young age. Her spiritual longing began in the early teens and led her to Yoga in 1999. While living in London in the early 2000s, Kundalini Yoga became a transformative tool in shaping her destiny. In 2007 she found Shakti Dance® and was pioneering in Finland with that and Kundalini Yoga before relocating to Gran Canaria in 2019. In 2016, a powerful awakening of Feminine Consciousness led Sat Darshan on a path of profound transformation and healing, and it inspired her to create the Awakened Woman Program™—a gentle, feminine approach to spirituality fostering deep healing of subconscious tendencies. This period of intense purification and trauma work birthed a gift in creating safe space, marked by compassion and deep acceptance, that she uses both in her work with groups and individuals. Her coaching and healing sessions with sensitive women focus on working with enregies, emotios, beliefs, relationships, and the integration of all parts into one coherent whole.
Siri Vedya Kaur is a Finnish Kundalini Yoga and Shakti Dance teacher, professional trainer, facilitator of dance-movement therapy methods and a Meditative Healing™ practitioner. Siri Vedya has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since certifying as a teacher in 2008. She has degrees in Spanish Philology and Intercultural Communication, and besides teaching yoga, has worked extensively in the management of international cooperation projects. Siri Vedya is passionate about creating nurturing spaces in which true Self-discovery, healing, relaxation and creative flow can arise. Her offering integrates over two decades of in-depth studies on yoga, meditation, conscious dance and different healing traditions. Students describe her teaching style as heartfelt, subtle and clear.
Shanti Nam has been teaching Kundalini Yoga classes, workshops and retreats since 2016. She teaches online and in person in Finland. Her teaching style combines traditional Kundalini Yoga with a meditative and peaceful approach. Shanti Nam is inspired by the transformative power of Yoga and meditation, and she is passionate about sharing the tools of a yogic lifestyle with her classes. Shanti Nam loves to share knowledge of yoga in basic and advanced classes. Her presence is said to be healing, and she helps people heal through yoga, meditative healing sessions, meditations, music, and guidance with Ayurvedic nutrition, lifestyle, communication and social work. Shanti Nam is inspired to create community and bring people together to practice, like in community sadhanas and meditations. Shel oves to share the inspiration and energy that the daily practice of kundalini yoga brings to her life.
Conditions for Completing the Training to Receive Certification
1. Course Fee
The Training Course and other possible fees have to be paid in full.
2. Attendance
Students must attend all the weekends and Thursdays of the course. Exceptional or special circumstances may result in a student completing the course by attendance at future KY Teacher Training programmes run by Yoga Lafontaine. However, the Thursday evening gatherings will be recorded, and if you miss one because you are ill, you can get the replay and some extra homework to cover your missed attedance.
NB: The Teacher Training and all its assignments have to be completed within two years from the starting date.
3. White Tantric Yoga / 5 Rebirthing Meditations / Japa Meditation Days
In addition to the Course Programme described below, the student is required to attend (or have previously attended) at least one day of White Tantra Yoga or 5 Rebirthing Meditations of Kundalini Yoga. More information during the training.
4. Hours
The course will be at least 200hrs, apart for exam, written course work and one day White Tantric Yoga.
- 180hrs classroom instruction
- Minimum of 30hrs in a 40-day meditation (31 minutes a day in student’s own time) and a 40-day yoga practice of a Kriya.
- 12hrs reading [see essential reading (focus on knowing and understanding the technology and its effects)]
- Attendance at minimum of 10 sadhanas/ morning practice sessions in the course context (dates to be seen at the first module).
5. Reading
Essential reading: the Course Manual
Recommended reading: Patanjali’s Sutras, other Kundalini Yoga Manuals, "The True Name" by Osho and the Bhagavad Gita.
6. Additional classes
Students are required to demonstrate that they have attended a minimum of 20 Kundalini Yoga classes either during or after the training. These classes must be taught by a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher.
7. Final Exam
The final exam is held max. 2 months after the course finishes. The minimum required result for passing is 75/100 points.
8. Teaching practicum
Students are required to teach a minimum of 5 classes of Kundalini Yoga to a group with a minimum of 3 people. The classes should be once a week. Students have to write a short report about their teaching experiences.
9. Course work
- Maintain a journal of experience and progress of the daily experience of 40- day practices. This consists of one Meditation of 31 minutes and a Kriya to be selected during the training according to the process of development of the student in training.
- Design two separate course curricula, which are two different programs for two different kinds of groups. This means: 1 course plan for all level students consisting in 10 classes (1,5 hrs class), with warm-ups, Kriyas and meditation. Plus another course plan with 6 classes (1hr class) for a special group (example: children, elder, blind people). More information will be given during the training.
10. Evaluation of the Student
The final evaluation of the student for completion of the course will be based on completion of the above criteria as well as the Tutors’ general evaluation of:
- The student’s involvement with the course (including leading yoga sessions on the course)
- Their general grasp of the course material
- Commitment to the 3HO Code of Professional Standards for Kundalini Yoga Teachers
- Satisfactory completion of exam and course homework
Where appropriate, the evaluation will include an interview between the student and two Tutors.
On completion of the requisites, the student will obtain the KRI level I Kundalini Yoga Instructors Certificate for teaching Kundalini Yoga. This course is approved by the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) and qualifies the teacher for registration as a member of the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) and other local Kundalini Yoga Teacher Associations, which include internet listings and other professional benefits.
